SNC Recs returns with its first full UKG EP on the imprint. After his first appearance on the label’s Ravers United Against Fascism compilation back in November 2024, Freddo is back with his long-awaited debut EP, Offshoot. The Vienna-based artist grew up in the hometown of SNC, where the label-heads’ parties shaped his musical path during his early teenage years. Influenced by these sounds, Freddo quickly dove deep into the worlds of UK Garage, Bass Music, and Tech House — a journey that now results in his debut on SNC Recs.

 

​The „Offshoot EP” perfectly captures the spirit of today’s scene, where Speed Garage meets Tech House and cheeky vocals ride on top of thick reese basslines. The title track, a groovy UKG roller, features a bubbly bassline and bleepy minimal sounds, drawing inspiration from Manchester’s finest — Oldboy. Naturally, no one other than Oldboy himself takes on remix duties, delivering a stripped-down, punchy Tech House interpretation. D2, „Dig This!” stands out as the most uplifting and dancefloor-friendly cut on the record, with infectious vocals guaranteed to get any crowd moving. Meanwhile, „Screwface” and „Choppa” explore the darker, heavier side of the project — both built for sweaty peak-time moments deep in the club.
